The synopsis for this book reveals that Darcy is self-centered, self-obsessed, that her fiance leaves her for her best friend, that she's left pregnant by another man, and that she runs to a friend who lives on across the Atlantic and learns about friendship and motherhood.
Going in with this foreknowledge I could have really done without a full third of the book focused on Darcy as a rather horrible person, and the move to London occurring somewhere near the half-way point. Over half the book is rehashing the reveal from the teaser text, and Darcy is so self-righteous in her behavior at that point that I nearly dropped the book. It gets better and turns into a feel-good relationship book. But this book would be way better if the first half of the book went through some severe trimming.
