It was interesting to read this book after having unsettling experience with Scientologists who were trying to sell me something. Interesting because the things that unsettled me are apparently things that are taught in how to act within the "religious philosophy." Of course, I find Scientology as a way of life disturbing.Interesting to read more about Kate Bornstein in more than just her writings about identifying one's gender, but instead read about her life and her growth from who she was born and raised as to who she is today.
